DC refinance client

Brent is very easy to work with.  I am very busy during the day and have two small children, so finding the time to refinance was a challenge.  Brent was available by email at all hours and we had some late evening conversations too.  From the application to the closing, Brent was there explaining and facilitating every step of the process, which made it move quickly.

He brought a human element to the transaction, so it didn’t feel like plugging numbers into a bank form and waiting for an answer.  There was an understanding of our needs and our financial situation. He was able to get us a mortgage that is saving us a substantial amount each month.  He also introduced me to an insurance agent who is also saving us some money.

If you want someone to make it easy for you to save money, I suggest you give Brent a call.

DC Purchase Customer

"Brent Mendelson is the best thing since sliced bread in my opinion. Brent did in just a few short days what no other Lenders could do in 3 1/2 weeks. Mr. Mendelson was very polite, very professional and kind enough to work on my loan as soon as he returned from his honeymoon. For fast and exact, top of the notch service, Brent Mendelson is the person to have on your side. I would recommend Brent Mendelson to anyone that is seeking a professional loan officer that knows his stuff inside and out."

"I can honestly say Brent Mendelson made my first home buying experience a very pleasant one. From our first conversation he explained each and every option that was available to me and I never felt pressured into any decision. My phone calls were handled in a professional and timely manner. All in all I really couldn't imagine my home buying process being any easier. Even now that the deal is done I would still feel 100% comfortable calling Brent with any questions. He extended his expertise beyond the scope of the business deal and I look forward to contacting Brent for my next home purchase. Thanks for everything Brent!!

"Getting a first mortgage or refinancing your current mortgage is always stressful after all, it is the largest financial transaction most of us are likely to engage in. There are numerous questions about if you can afford the mortgage, when is the best time to refinance, whether the new terms offset the costs of refinancing, or whether you are getting the best deal possible.

My experience working with Brent was a pleasure. He was completely upfront about the costs and whether the deal made sense financially. In fact, when I explained my situation, he advised me not to refinance unless the current terms improved even though it cost him business. When he later contacted me about a better deal, I jumped at it because he had earned my trust. Throughout the process, he answered all of my questions patiently and offered to track down information that was not readily available. In sum, his manner and eagerness to work with me removed a great deal of the stress. I could not recommend him more highly."

"It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to commend the wonderful service that I received from Brent Mendelson of Monarch Bank, who acted as my loan officer during the purchase of my first home in December 2010.

Throughout the process of purchasing the home, I felt like I was securely in the hands of an experienced professional. It was clear in my frequent communications with Brent that he was very knowledgeable about the mortgage loan process and the real estate industry generally. He was fantastic at explaining complicated concepts of finance to a lay person such as myself and particularly familiar with the various ways in which the market has changed in recent years from both the perspective of the lender as well as the borrower.

In working with Brent over the course of several months, I found him to be trustworthy, sincere and reliable. His ethical approach to his work stands in stark contrast to the prevailing public perception about the real estate and home mortgage industry as a result of the national financial crisis. Contrary to that image, in Brent’s hands, I very much felt as though his word could be trusted and depended upon. For example, although he had no problem explaining the roles and obligations that exist between Buyer and Seller and between Buyer and Agent, he did not hesitate to let me know when I was soliciting advice that extended outside of the financial side and into the purview of my agent. Nor did Brent ever promise anything to me that he could not deliver in the end, which I very much appreciated.

I also found Brent to be exceptionally patient, diligent, and most of all, accessible. Brent went out of his way to make my experience as a first-time home buyer a pleasant one. Brent took the necessary time to explain things and to quell my frustrations during phone conversations that often took place late in the evening just to accommodate my schedule. On one occasion, he even went the extra mile to smooth out a problem that arose between my agent and myself related to securing verification that a repair was done prior to closing.

Brent’s commitment to old-fashioned customer service was on full-display when he personally appeared for my closing bearing a congratulatory gift, no less. His appearance impressed the seller, an experienced investor, who had thought the days of mortgage lenders showing up for settlements were long over.

I would highly recommend Brent to other potential clients. Indeed, I have done so already."
