I recently refinanced my home with Brent Mendelson. I had shopped around to several banks, and Capital Bank was able to get me one of the best rates, with low fees. From the beginning, Brent was impressive with his communications. Any question I had, he either had an immediate answer for me, or made moves to get the response as soon as possible. There were times I emailed Brent on a weekend, or late in an evening, fully expecting it to take a day or two to hear back, and Brent would write back almost immediately. I am a little concerned that Brent does not take breaks from work! Furthermore, knowing that refinances take at least a couple months, once I had completed the initial paperwork I did not expect to hear back until closing time, but Brent was proactive in communicating status throughout the process. Even after closing, I had several follow up questions for Brent, who again immediately responded and contacted others, to get responses fast. Nowhere else have I gotten this level of service. This is the first time I've used Capital Bank, and worked with Brent, but it certainly won't be the last.

My wife and I recently refinanced and didn't hesitate to reach out to Brent Mendelson to ask for details and work with us throughout the process. Brent was previously our loan officer when we first purchased our home in 2013. In both experiences, he was professional, very responsive, and explains the process to you in a way that is easy to understand (like complex legal lingo, or wisely choosing among 2-3 different financing scenarios).
