1st time buyer DC condo- New Construction

Dearest Brent,

I can't thank you enough for your advice, guidance, enthusisasm and patience with me over the course of the last five months. Our first phone call was in April-when I couldn't even spell "condominium" and now here I am in September as a D.C. homeowner! Your sense of humor balanced with a calm demeanor and incredible subject matter experience were a welcomed approach to this arduous and anxiety filled process. Your responsiveness to my many, many, MANY inquiries were always timely, you made me feel like I was your most important client. Thank you for seeing everything through to fruition.

 With my sincerest gratitude,

When it comes to refinancing or buying a home, Brent Mendelson, is the person you want to call.  He has helped me with both!  I spoke with several loan officers, with different banks, before a friend luckily referred me to Brent.  He is a true standout in his field. When working with Brent you can count on him being quick to respond, thorough, and will always have your best interest at heart.  Someone you can trust.  I highly recommend him to everyone!"

I've now worked with Brent twice in the last ten years. You couldn't ask for a better mortgage banker to work with! Brent has gone above and beyond both times; before, during and after the home buying process. He works hard to ensure that everything goes smoothly and to ensure that all your questions are answered. I couldn't recommend Brent enough if you're considering purchasing a home."

Calinfornia Cashout/Condo/Investment Property

"I’ve had the opportunity to work with Brent on the financing for my new home in Maryland and the refinancing of a rental property in LA.  In both cases, he made what could have been a stressful and time consuming process, a clear and manageable one.  He was pleasant to work with, always accessible, and kept the process moving.  From now on, he will be my first point of contact for any of my mortgage needs."

I want to thank you and your team  in what Brent calls making me "the newest homeowner in DC." As a poor kid from Richmond, Va. who wanted his shot, I couldn't have imagined that I'd be a homeowner by the age of 24; I had a person TELL ME that it was only acceptable to buy a property until after 30. That was thanks to all of you. There were some hairy moments and times I just wanted to be done with it all; however you didn't do that. Whether, it's because of the responsibilities in your position or that you just get and understand the people you are aiding in improving their lives. I can't thank you enough.

For some, this is our last business encounter(at least until the 6th year) and others it's only the beginning. Thank you once more and I hope you all enjoy your year...because I know will!

Brent, I hope your wife wasn't too mad at you on me taking up too much of your time on one of our last calls.

Respectfully,
RL. Williams, Jr

1ST time using the VA enttlement. Self Employed. Georgia Purchase

Brent:

I want to personally thank you for the tremendous service you provided to us in the purchase and financing of our new home in Georgia.

This was my first venture into VA financing.  As a retired senior naval officer, I should have been a bit more prepared for the various minefields and obstacles associated with a VA loan.  There were moments when I came on pretty strong, and vented my frustrations over the seemingly endless and short fused requirements.  You took the flack, weathered the storm and kept the ship on course.  I'm not sure if 1st Mariner pays it's front line combat troops "hostile fire pay", but they should, because you earned it.

Your professional knowledge of the market and the funding landscape is unquestionable.  You have the ability to see the storms brewing before they happen, and thus provide the client a "heads up".  That is invaluable.

Having purchased and sold several homes (all conventional funding), my take away from all this is:  It takes a dedicated funding professional to handle the emotional surges involved in a major purchase.  It takes a sensitive, yet unbiased professional to stand alongside the client during a highly challenging situation.  It takes a seasoned professional to deal with the myriad of time sensitive details involved in a VA deal.  It takes a confident and competent professional to advise a client to "stand down" and dial the emotions back.

 You excel in every category.

I will gladly refer your services to my network, and to referrals that may need to hear it from one who has just weathered the storm.

Additionally, I want to thank you for your service to my fellow veterans in obtaining loans and funding options.  Sadly, there are those in the market who turn away from VA loans.  You stood tall for both my navy veteran daughter in law, and for me.  You and Piper Harris are now considered "shipmates", a unique navy honor, which you have both earned through trust and loyalty to us.

Best personal wishes, and continued success in the future.
