HPAP Condo loan. 1st time buyer Washington DC.

I want to thank you and your team  in what Brent calls making me "the newest homeowner in DC." As a poor kid from Richmond, Va. who wanted his shot, I couldn't have imagined that I'd be a homeowner by the age of 24; I had a person TELL ME that it was only acceptable to buy a property until after 30. That was thanks to all of you. There were some hairy moments and times I just wanted to be done with it all; however you didn't do that. Whether, it's because of the responsibilities in your position or that you just get and understand the people you are aiding in improving their lives. I can't thank you enough.

For some, this is our last business encounter(at least until the 6th year) and others it's only the beginning. Thank you once more and I hope you all enjoy your year...because I know will!

Brent, I hope your wife wasn't too mad at you on me taking up too much of your time on one of our last calls.

Respectfully,
RL. Williams, Jr

HPAP Condo 1st time DC buyer

As I prepared to turn 30, I set a goal to start saving money in order to buy a home by the time I was 35 - thinking it would be impossible to do it any time before then. I was referred to Brent at First Mariner Mortgage and encouraged to chat with him about loan options, just to see what I might be able to qualify for and what my mortgage might look like. Lo and behold, I found out that I had far more options than I'd even imagined - and was able to purchase my first home just a few months into year 30!

Brent was incredibly helpful, friendly, and easy to work with. He explained everything I needed to know in easy-to-understand terms, was readily accessible and available, and was by my side the entire time, making what could have been such an intimidating and confusing process remarkably easy.

When I first started this process, I really didn't think it would be so quick and painless - I thought it would take years before I'd be able to buy my own home! Now I'm happy to say that I'm settled into my new place and am looking forward to many more years of homeownership!
