1ST time using the VA enttlement. Self Employed. Georgia Purchase

Brent:

I want to personally thank you for the tremendous service you provided to us in the purchase and financing of our new home in Georgia.

This was my first venture into VA financing.  As a retired senior naval officer, I should have been a bit more prepared for the various minefields and obstacles associated with a VA loan.  There were moments when I came on pretty strong, and vented my frustrations over the seemingly endless and short fused requirements.  You took the flack, weathered the storm and kept the ship on course.  I'm not sure if 1st Mariner pays it's front line combat troops "hostile fire pay", but they should, because you earned it.

Your professional knowledge of the market and the funding landscape is unquestionable.  You have the ability to see the storms brewing before they happen, and thus provide the client a "heads up".  That is invaluable.

Having purchased and sold several homes (all conventional funding), my take away from all this is:  It takes a dedicated funding professional to handle the emotional surges involved in a major purchase.  It takes a sensitive, yet unbiased professional to stand alongside the client during a highly challenging situation.  It takes a seasoned professional to deal with the myriad of time sensitive details involved in a VA deal.  It takes a confident and competent professional to advise a client to "stand down" and dial the emotions back.

 You excel in every category.

I will gladly refer your services to my network, and to referrals that may need to hear it from one who has just weathered the storm.

Additionally, I want to thank you for your service to my fellow veterans in obtaining loans and funding options.  Sadly, there are those in the market who turn away from VA loans.  You stood tall for both my navy veteran daughter in law, and for me.  You and Piper Harris are now considered "shipmates", a unique navy honor, which you have both earned through trust and loyalty to us.

Best personal wishes, and continued success in the future.

VA Purchase and IRRL client

Brent was fantastic to work with.  He has detailed knowledge of all aspects of VA loans and walked me through all aspects of securing and maximizing the benefits of a VA loan.  Brent  kept me apprised of my loan details every step of the way and made sure I understood and was comfortable with all aspects of the process.  He absolutely had my and my family's best interest in mind and contacted me with updates every time the market situation turned in my favor to help guide me to make the best choices for the variable portions of my loan.  I will seek him out for all future loan needs and will refer him to all family and friends.   COL Jon Roebuck, USA  MC
